Filming Blog

On Wednesday, my group and I started filming day one of our Commercial. We used the field as our set to complete the task that we had written for a storyboard. We were able to film the majority of the clips, but we did not bring the soccer ball for this day. We filmed certain scenes such as the staredown, the panning of the Adidas attire, one of our actors losing the game, and the scene on the bleachers with me and two other partners. I filmed most of the scenes using certain angles and movements to capture a suspenseful and exciting clip. The first scene used in our commercial was the panning of the outfits worn by our actor. I zoomed in and out from the shoes to capture the Adidas iconic symbol, the three stripes. Then, as I moved the camera upwards, I got a whole clip of our first actor wearing Adidas attire. The other actor standing in front of them was wearing regular sportswear, and I had the same filming technique. I started from the bottom of her leg and moved the camera u

My group is doing an Adidas commercial. In these commercials, the audience usually sees people exercising and completing physical activities such as working out, running, and doing sports. They wear outfits consisting of sports wear such as sports bras, loose-fitted shirts, branded clothes adidas brand sneakers. Props include yoga mats, footballs, soccer balls, and water bottles. Their appearance is usually athletic build and sweat as they are working out during that moment. The score throughout the commercial usually consists of motivating music and lots of motivational speaking. Conventions and codes in Adidas commercials include the symbolic three stripes, added with a “Impossible is Nothing” slogan. This slogan sparks the media to help athletes achieve their goals, even the ones that seem impossible to start with. In the commercial, the props are always angled to show the three stripes to let the audience know that it is an adidas commercial. This has become an all-around symbol th

Hello, I am Mya Hauser and I have chosen to work with a group on this project. I am working with Katie Weiss, Ely Silverberg, and Jade Walrave because I have known from past experiences that we all have different skills, which will make us such a great team.     Starting off with myself, I am able to contribute artistic ability and designing ability to the group. I will be thinking of the set design, location, and props for our commercial. I have had a lot of experience creating these ideas freshly from my mind, so I am the perfect fit for this position. This is very important because, without a location, the commercial cannot even be filmed.      Secondly, Katie Weiss is incredibly talented and has amazing writing skills. We both are on the varsity debate team, and I have seen through many rounds that her writing skills are top-notch. She is able to use the right vocabulary for different types of audiences. These techniques will help us grasp an outstanding dialogue for the righ

Hello, my name is Mya Hauser, I am in 10th grade and go to Fort Lauderdale High School. I decided to enroll myself in this course because I have always been interested in filming techniques, editing, and movies and shows.       At the age of twelve, I started to have an extreme interest in filming. I always enjoyed watching behind-the-scenes clips of how my favorite scenes were filmed, and the thought process that went into the work. From then, I had an increasing interest in drawing. At my middle school, I participated in the literary fair and wrote/drew my own comic book. However, I did not place high enough to move on to future rounds because I was just getting started with my drawing techniques. As the years have passed, I have become A great artist. I own a small business, where I digitally draw and sell stickers. I have so far made over $1600 in the past year, and have made 600 sales. From time to time when I read my reviews, I see so many comments uploading my artwork shown
