Group Blog for Music Video

Image
Hello, I am Mya Hauser and I have chosen to work with a group on this project. I am working with Katie Weiss and Jade Walrave because I have known from past experiences that we all have different skills, which will make us such a great team.           Starting off with myself, I am able to contribute artistic ability and designing ability to the group. I will be thinking of the set design, location, and props for our commercial. I have had a lot of experience creating these ideas freshly from my mind, so I am the perfect fit for this position. This is very important because, without a location, the commercial cannot even be filmed. I have also participated in many acts of musical theater, so I have past experiences of being an actress in a certain setting.       Secondly, Katie Weiss is incredibly talented and has amazing writing skills. We both are on the varsity debate team, and I have seen through many rounds that ...

Intro Blog for Music Video

Hello, my name is Mya Hauser, I am in 10th grade and go to Fort Lauderdale High School. I decided to enroll myself in this course because I have always been interested in filming techniques, editing, and movies and shows.       At the age of twelve, I started to have an extreme interest in filming. I always enjoyed watching behind-the-scenes clips of how my favorite scenes were filmed, and the thought process that went into the work. From then, I had an increasing interest in drawing. At my middle school, I participated in the literary fair and wrote/drew my own comic book. However, I did not place high enough to move on to future rounds because I was just getting started with my drawing techniques. As the years have passed, I have become A great artist. I own a small business, where I digitally draw and sell stickers. I have so far made over $1600 in the past year, and have made 600 sales. From time to time when I read my reviews, I see so many c...

Creative Critical Reflection

Name: Mya Hauser Creative Critical Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?  My product used conventions in multiple ways. For example, just like in the rest of the Adidas commercials, the commercial included people wearing the product and being active. Also, the video included a clip of someone playing soccer just like many other commercials for this product does. The reason this was included in the video is that my group and I felt like these clips represent what the brand can be used for. In the commercial, when it comes to the product in general represents no specific social group, it shows a 1v1 against two players, and the player that won showing good sportsmanship towards the losing team. However, the message of our specific commercial represents those who are involved in sports and how they are all the same. Just because one team loses doesn't mean they can be rude to the winning team.  2. How d...

Commercial

This commercial was such a great educational experience! I enjoyed the process of creating the idea for the commercial and then pursuing that idea. It was so fun to film the select scenes we had drew for the storyboard. I had brought certain clothing for the actors to wear, which was Adidas brand, and this felt like I was on a real filming set. As we edited these clips, it was so cool to see how our project was all coming together. The finishing project really shocked me because it looked like a real commercial. I also enjoyed working with my group for this project because i loved the feeling of being part of a team. This project had taught me how important it is to blog your process. When I had read my blogs after finishing the commercial, I had forgot how much work we actually did and it was great to read how many ideas we had before going into this. All in all, this was a great project and experience that will help me with future filming projects.
